Like the recent and successful international exhibitions & competitions for contemporary art so called "Russian Art Week" in Moscow & St. Petersburg - Russia or "Ukrainian Art Week" this time NextArt Foundation, Moscow has organized the famous art fair "Lithuanian Art Week" right in Vilnius, the cultural capital of the Republic of Lithuania.
NextArt Foundation realizes this international art fair in cooperation with The International Center of Culture and Arts - Vilnius, The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Lithuanian Republic - Vilnius, The Museum of National Graphics, Moscow and further partners & sponsors with national and international flair and reputation.
Open worldwide for all contemporary art of our times and because of the fact the event is organized by NextArt Foundation - Moscow with the same professionality, experience and energy best know from their past art events so indeed this year`s LITHUANIAN ART WEEK in Vilnius guarantees a really exciting and amazing experience for all visitors, artlovers, collectors and participating artists.
May be along this great opportunity the fair´s visitor would like to cruise also around the historical city of Vilnius with a mass of interesting locations like museums, galleries and also trendy pubs & restaurants so Vilnius is not only the national capital. Lithuanian Art Week offering exhibition & competition of contemporary art right fresh and directly from the artist to the interested public is open from 26th January to 1st February 2010 and takes place at The Museum-Gallery of the Modern Art (classical art) and at Gallery "Pilies" (avant-garde art) in Vilnius.
Juried by an international jury of established artists, publishers & writers including academic professionals of the arts the winning works of the connected international competition of the Lithuanian Art Week will circle afterwards to presentation round to Klaipeda and Shauljaj at the Art City Centre of Klaipeda (Klaipeda Art Exhibition Hall) and at Art Gallery in Shauljae.
Every artistic participant of the competitive program will be published in the International Catalogue "NEW FACES IN ARTS" together with the participants of the recent ART WEEK Sessions 2009/2010 like Russian Art Week Moscow 2009 and Ukrainan Art Week Kiev 2009 - and very artist participate in programs of master classes and lecture halls so Lihuanian Art Week always staying in interactive communication with artist and artlover is much more than only a single event for exhibiting art.
So Lithuanian Art Week is an international and cultural happening with impressive importance for contemporary arts and the fair stands for this kind of international flair and feeling every artlover should not miss to join.
All in all coming from the actually running Lithuanian Art Week we can indeed wonder and look with great excitement and expectations forward to the next upcoming "Art-Weeks" like for example in Moscow & St. Petersberg or the BELARUS ART WEEK.
