Well, thumbnails function seems not to work properly hahaha
Can that be taken care of? The 'options' within the area to upload photos into discussions wouldn't allow to check the thumbnails section.

hi smyle!

ok... so about the thumbnails thing... don't know if i can fix it. might be some sort of temporary glitch. will keep working on it and hopefully will figure something out.

regarding your questions (Who are you? What do you do? How do you do it?)... since no one has replied yet, i guess i'll jump in...

my name is motrya and i co-created/co-run the owoa site with kristen. my "artistic medium" is primarily writing, but i have played the piano since i was 5 (and dabble in other instruments), so i suppose that music holds equal importance in my life.

as far as artistic hobbies, purely for the fun of it... wow, there have been so many over the years... i studied ballet when i was younger ... painting, i like to draw (charcoals are my favorite) and i really enjoy taking photos. back in the day, my dad had a dark room in our basement, and i guess he sort of gave me the photography bug.

frankly, i find most artistic disciplines interesting... and if i had enough time, enough lifetimes... i'd like to explore them all.

now, enough about me. let's hear more about you. and the REST of you. come on people, don't be shy. ;)

Wow, you surely have a thing for art! I like that, the artistic field expanded in the lives.

Well, since people are still a bit shy... I'll say my name is Soraya and I'm a musician, writer and photographer, those are are my main grounds in art.
I've been composing since I was 8, singing since I... could, and also started playing guitar when I was 9 (though I had to leave it).
Same goes for writing; I've been doing that since forever, it goes along with who I am. I do especially prose and stories, more than poetry.

For the photography, I've always been interested in capturing a thousand of words with an image, or more than that, to be able to create a story in one single scene (or sometimes, a series) and be able to release it and let people imagine and guess.
And, as a journalist, that's impressive - how it works the non-words world when we're so surrounded by them.
So that's why I love the conceptual area, also the people's and the concert photography, which is understable, being a musician and a journalist haha (and that I work with music to twist the emotions when shooting).

And that'd be a "short" abstraction of me. Hope there're more people willing to share their artistic livings.
