I think being an artist and a mother is a great blessing.

Ola Rondiak said "i thought it might be nice for mothers who are are artists to support one another and perhaps even create something together."

Why don't we think of doing something together? :)

Didn't realise this group had come into being. Its been a busy few weeks!! I have two boys 9 & 7 who provide lots of diversions and take me on many unusual journeys. I'm a writer so my space is quite contained and they are now of an age when they can keep themselves amused some of the time. Its always a concern when it becomes too quiet. Apart from their art & drawings and their music they both enjoy making up stories. Deaglan the 9 yr old has a monthly newsletter on Prehistoric beasts from various eras and knows more about page layouts than I do.

Hi, there! I'm thirty-nine and I am a proud mother of two. One girl and one boy. Isabela is two and a half and Eli is one and a half. It was only after the birth of Eli, my youngest, that I became active on painting again. They're such an inspiration to me.

Hello mother of 3 ....10,8 and 4...I've learned that it's easier all round if they have there projects to do when I'm painting so let's be mother...LOL! it works until someone needs the colour that the other wants....he...he

Hello ladies! I am a mother too, of 9 and 7 year olds. It certainly gets better as they get older as now we are able to get paint 'on the canvas' instead of 'on the sofa'!! I have always encouraged my children to draw and paint giving them the freedom to escape to the past, 'be' in the present and delve into the future.

yes, shawana! exactly my reason for starting this group. i have 3 children and dedicate most of my time for them. i believe that raising children and creating a positive environment is an art, however, i also have other artistic expressions that are moving very slowly! i thought it might be nice for mothers who are are artists to support one another and perhaps even create something together.

i am interested to know how ppl manage house and painting?
and specially when you have 4 year old or 3 year old babies
