Independent Film

I have been contemplating of a film project which I hope to depict the story of a lowly Philippine Registered Nurse. She sacrificed her life to care for the American captives who were kidnapped by the notorious bandits at the hinterland of Mindanao, the lair of extremists.
The American couple were missionaries helping out the poor indigenous people who happened to be there at a wrong time.
I already got the technical people and equipment but the production budget is really a problem. The people are very much willing to undertake the project and they are waiting for the finances to come in.
The lady that I would want to portray in the story will be depicted as our country's heroine for the nursing profession. She encompassed the life of the dedicated and compassionate Filipino nurses who are now serving different people of various nationalities, religious beliefs, creed and political affiliations. They won't really mind being away from their homes and families. They are happy and contended to be there caring for the sick and needy. England had Florence Nightingale whom we admired so much as well as all other nursing contemporaries.
