Tell us a little about where you live and the artist community there?

I live in Cairo Egypt it’s the city that never sleeps, busy all the time that you can never be bored. In the mean while, its very rich culture wise, the artist community in Cairo is very active, Art exhibitions, lecture, critics, symposium, Biannually, for all forms of art.


Do you feel art has the power to make a difference and if so, how?

Art is power, defiantly art is able to make a difference, as we speak art is part of our life, In the meaning of colors which affect our moods and psychology, as well as it educate us in many ways on the personal levels we live in a huge big painting full of all forms of art and colors,.. In general art is one of the main foundations of any culture consequently it can play major economical role nationally and internationally.


What is something about you few people know?

I have a cocoon by my name LOL, I run and hide to.


Where would you like to travel that you’ve never been?

Bali Indonesia


What is something you’ve always wanted to learn or try?

Parachuting


What is the biggest challenge for you in being an artist?

Just being an artist


If you couldn’t be an artist, what would you want to be?

Participate in human rights associations, modern dancer... that I can still do I guess.


If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?

Changing people manners as they have lost their humanity and identity with the civilization and technology.


If a fellow artist was to visit your city, where would you recommend they go/see? What should they absolutely not miss?

Old Cairo, red sea, and Upper Egypt. There a lot of other places but they wouldn’t have the time.


Can you tell us about your book that you are working on?

My book is about life and the experiences throw out the years for human neuter and the human reactions in many occasions and circumstances, feelings, memories interaction and communication.


Can you expand on this statement from your website – “Some might call her an impressionist; others may say that she is surrealist. But as she says about herself, “I’m a naive artist"

When I call myself a "naive artist" I just mean that I don’t belong to any art influence, there is no boundary for my imagination when I work I just let go as all my paintings are from my sole and creation,, naivety reminds me of the little girl in me.

I was in Marsa Alam south of Egypt for The Characters of Egypt Festival which is an opportunity to benefit the tribes; we went their group of artist to cover the event by drawings it was organized by Gauguin gallery
