ideally, i would think it is to examine, analyse, compare and then reveal their enlightened opinion as constructive criticism at the least and inspiration at best. Of course, they must look at the "big picture" to be of any value.
There is a "trick" I use to end "creative block" whether I am writing or painting. When I know where I'm going with a painting or a chapter I'm writing, I stop short of finishing on the day I have reached that level. I pick up the next day and withi…
Yes - we will send 50 peices to each gallery and then they will have the option of showing all 50 or less, depending on their space. we will stick with the 20x30 giclee format - even if there is some white space below an image - for shipping and han…
A very poignant piece. Of course, everyone sees something different in works of art. For me, having lived and worked in North Africa, my immediate response was that this piece represents Imperialism and colonisation in Africa. The white figure sucki…

I wish you the best, from Stockholm, Sweden, Silvia
Hello Phil,
your artwork is amazing and you push open my inspiration, because the people can see in your art social and political oppinion. And that is what the world need.
I try to do this in future, in a special serial, to give my work another quality.
Also I hope you are well, because you are did not give me response at
my last E-mails. Have a nice Weekend!
Warm regards!

Hi Phil, thanks for you comments, really appreciated - and thanks for bringing Frightened Rabbit to my attention. Glad you enjoyed the song, there's another one I've uploaded on my page that may interest you also.
Love the almost aboriginal/indigenous element in some of you work and the posterised quality with the landscapes. The retake on Tournée du Chat Noir was enjoyable too, always been one of my favourites, and the juxtaposition with your own brand of iconography was well done.
You are most welcome to One Art and an inspiration and encouragement to us all.
Thanks again, you've inspired me to keep going.
Not that I can stop anyway but there are days when its hard juggling everything so to know that a story connects with people and they feel something is very precious. I have had some really good comments about Lament.
Enjoy Monsieur, he's a character I might do some more stories with some time.
I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

Shaw’s paintings represent an exploration of Nominal Realism, a concept she has developed based on a locus that connects two points of figuration and abstraction. Painted in oil or acrylic, Moving Violations are variations on this theme focusing on…
