This year`s LITHUANIAN ART WEEK - International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Art in Vilnius which das been an exciting experience for all visitors, artlovers, collectors and participating artists from all over the world is now over.
This international art fair realized by the well known NextArt Foundation Moscow in cooperation with The International Center of Culture and Arts - Vilnius, The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Lithuanian Republic - Vilnius, The Museum of National Graphics, Moscow and further partners & sponsors with national and international flair and reputation has been once again an overwhelming success and an exciting experience for all visitors and participating artists around the globe in Lithuania`s capital Vilnius.
So every year`s Lithuanian Art Week is much more than only a single event for exhibiting contemporay art also this art fair has offered various happenings to visitors, artlovers and artists like progams of master classes, lecture halls, artistic joint-ventures and so much more in order in increase the artistic communication and exchange leaving no one out who joins the arts at Lithuanian ArtWeek.
Because Lithuanian Art Week is an international and cultural happening with impressive importance for the contemporary arts the event has come with a variety of international exhibitions and competitions in nearly all categories related to contemporay art in order to give the artworld the specified overview what`s going on in the arts of today.
Therefore these categories at LITHUANIAN ART WEEK -
International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Art,
are:
- International Painting Competition
- International Graphic Competition
- International Photography Competition
- International Sculpture Competition
- International Crafts Competition
However the climax of this spring`s Lithuanian ArtWeek has been once again the final announcement of the Winners
of the Lithuanian Art Week Exhibtion as International Competition of Contemporary Art which has been juried by an international jury of established artists, publishers & writers including academic professionals of the arts.
And impressed by the amazing powerful variety of the participating contemporary art works the juros had again a really hard job to do desicion and final selection for this spring`s awards.
In order to honor every participant`s artistic work all participating artworks of Lithuanian ArtWeek will be published in the International Catalogue "NEW FACES IN ARTS" together with the participants of the recent ART WEEK Sessions 2009/2010 like Russian Art Week Moscow 2009 and Ukrainan Art Week Kiev 2009 which will be published soon in order to give the interested public some hints on artists with the artistic power and potential to come up in Contemporary Arts right now.

Further on Artmatysik`s artist and brother Bertram Matysik wins in the Lithuanian ArtWeek`s International Painting competition the exciting 2nd place in the category "Animalistic Painting" with his work´ "Jaguar - the animal" - painting oil,
and also the 3rd place in the category "Genre Painting" with his well known and legendary art work "What crisis ?
