“Russian Art Week” International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Arts congratulates Artmatysik`s artist Dr. Gerd Matysik as a winner of the graphic competition in the “academic drawing” nomination. His art work “Embrace” took II place among the participant`s art works in that category.

The artwork was inspirated by a photography of Andrew Eccles (EROS, B. Taschen Verlag Cologne Germany, 1997: p. 101, Umarmung 3, 1994, Andrew Eccles)

Jury and organizing committee awards Dr. Gerd Matysik to exhibit one of his new art works at the upcoming Russian Art Week in spring (April 2010), and two of his works at “Ukrainian Art Week” International Exhibition&Competition of Contemporary Arts (www.artweek.org, www.artweek.eu) that will take place in Kiev (November 16–23, 2009).

His art work “What’s crisis? Let’s party! - Miami Homestead 2008, in memorial for Versace” took III place among the participant`s art works in that category.
